Calypso is the pet of the month for December!

Calypso is the pet of the month for December! Calypso is a wonderful new mom to four boys- Apollo, Jupiter, Cupid and Neptune. All the pups are healthy and well- and mom is doing just fine. For all that hard work she seemed pretty deserving this month!

Soxy is the pet of the month for November!

Soxy is the pet of the month for November! Soxy, named for Boston's favorite baseball team, happily lives in Beacon Hill with her mom Donna. Between lounging on the newly claimed cat furniture in *her* new apartment, she occasionally has to deal with us trimming her nails or putting her on the scale. Soxy's only real gripe is that every spring when her mom religiously goes to spring training in Florida, she has to stay in Boston-- patiently awaiting the opening game, and continuing the plot to get her mom to move to Fenway.

Ava and Buzz are the pets of the month for October!

Ava (the dog) and Buzz (the cat) are the pets of the month for October. These two wonderful pets, along with their dads are *long* overdue for some Harbor Vets high honors. Their dads have been taking excellent care of these two ever since they were both adopted from the MSPCA. Ava tries to steal all of the attention and be the boss of the house, but has been known to snug on the couch with Buzz when no one is looking.

Pets of the Month for August, 2010
Hazel is the pet of the month for August!

Hazel is one of our phenomenal patients and would like everyone to know first and foremost how much she hates car rides and cat carriers! When Maija and Emily come by she is a trooper and sometimes shows off her world class string chasing. Hazel also keeps all of the birds and squirrels in line in the neighborhood and the bugs in check that try to invade her home. Needless to say, she is adored by not only her family, but her vets as well.
Pets of the Month for July, 2010
Casper and Amy are the pets of the month for July!

Casper (left) and Amy (right) are two wonderful Winthrop residents. Amy is the newest edition and despite a very difficult past, is healing and adjusting very well due to her mom's exceptional dedication and Casper is helping her feel right at home (she is currently trying to take over the place!). Casper, in his own right, is the best patient for eye exams we have ever seen.

Suki is the pet of the month for June!

Suki is an adorable girl that lives with her mom in Winthrop. She is a nature girl all the way- and loves being outside as much as possible whether it is hiking or canoeing. She is the ambassador of Revere Beach, constantly making new friends with dogs who normally wouldn't play. That has to say something about her wonderful personality! We are honored to be taking care of her!
Pets of the Month for May, 2010
General Jingles, Dapper Dan and Trixie Malone are the pets of the month for May!

The story of the Westhaver's 1920's Feline Prohibition Gang is best told by their folks below...
General Jingles, Dapper Dan, and Trixie Malone were all rescued from the Boston Animal Shelter in January. Since then the gang has hijacked their owner's heart. Each has their own distinct personality; General Jingles (the black/gray/white tabby) is the leader and a rascal. He is energetic, intelligent and violently affectionate - especially for food in the morning. If a door is open, he walks through it and if it isn't, he figures out a way in.
Dapper Dan (the orange and white tabby) is the ladies man and he is a sure swaggering little guy. He loves to strut up - swaying his hind quarters back and forth right up to you before flopping down on his back for a rub and snuggle. Granted he might look a little small, he has the weight to throw around when needed for an inside job.
Trixie (the tortie) is the little doll of the group. The most petite of the three puts up a shy front, but can take care of herself. Get her alone and she is all love and purring. You would think she was a cabaret vamp with a heart of gold, but with her wiles might steal your wallet full of catnip when you're not looking. She has her edge as being lightning fast - proven with the laser light chasing, she leaves the boys of the Westhaver gang in the dust.
Pet of the Month for April, 2010
Squire is the pet of the month for April!

Squire is an English Golden Retriever and is almost five months old. He loves putting a smile on everyone's face and can't help but enjoy the attention he draws because he is so handsome, friendly and playful. Currently Squire's favorite things are playing "catch me if you can" with his mom, and he actually plays the same game with the ocean waves. Maybe if it ever warms up he'll warm up to the concept of actually getting in the water!

Murphy, a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is 5 months old and he is full of personality! He loves the snow and off leash dog parks- most of all as he likes playing with other dogs. He always wants to be the center of attention and says hello to everyone he comes across. His parents can't imagine life without him!

Jeepers is the pet of the month for February!

Jeepers has been putting up with us pesky veterinarians for a while now! He's an adorable guy who let's us know how he feels. From the photos you can see that he is an avid desktop fishman and has mastered the art of the catnap. He is a wonderful patient, and we will be sad to see him go- as he will soon be retiring to a new home in Texas.

Tobin is the pet of the month for January!

We are starting off the New Year with one of the best! Tobin is the most outgoing and playful greyhound we have ever encountered. He's a complete goof, at times a man of drama and always bounds across the room when we come to see him (he boosts our self-esteem). He is a wonderful and sweet guy.
